Hello everyone three week after radiotherpy back in hospital after coughing a few specks of blood.Was hoping for a bit of a respite from hospital as chemo finished and radiotherpy finished just beginning to start to eat a little better as throat and mouth very burnt beginning to loose hope

it could just be radiotherapy induced inflammation causing irritations. don't give up it is possible to be healed in time.

Hello Newby234,

Often coughing up blood can be caused by irritation or inflammation post radiotherapy, you are doing the right thing by attending the hospital they will investigate and advise on any necessary treatment. It can often feel like a roller-coaster ride with all the ups and downs, this is just a set back hopefully the medical staff involved can give you an explanation of the cause, please don't loose hope.
