I had a cancer in my left lung that was operated on and followed up with chemo. It has been 2 years and not returned.

However I have a nodule on my right lung which had been there since the 2 years and has grown in a couple of millimetres in size -very small. The surgeon says he is 95% sure it is cancer although it is not glowing on the PET/CT scan I had. The question is whether to have it removed by an operation (and I am obese also) or he also mentioned radiotherapy or shall I sit tight? I have no symptoms.

Hi hedgehoggy,

What advice are your health professionals offering you? Are they recommending surgery?

Obviously you are aware that early detection and treatment can prevent complications for the future, however I suggest you discuss your options with your health care providers. If you require any information about treatment options you can view and order our publications from roycastle.org/ayqpack
