Dear Friends my tumours in my lung have grown a little: Top right tumour has grown 2mm and bottom left 0.5mm. The cancer still is only my Right Lung and so hasn't spread. So it's goodish news according to my oncologist. I'm not up any treatment as the cancer is 'stable'. This will be checked in January with a CT Scan followed by an oncologist appointment where God willing the cancer is much the same. Otherwise it's a phase 1 clinical trial. So we are still praying that the cancer will remain the same and stable, not spark into lots of growth activity or go Any ideas or thoughts? Thanks for your time.

I would like to know more. How long have you had the cancer in your right lung? I am curious why no treatment has been done. Have you been told the type of cancer? Has there been a biopsy or genetic testing? I am only going by my own experience. Each person and each cancer experience is different.
I was diagnosed in 2013 and was going to have a lower lobe removed which was supposed to take care of the cancer and no follow up treatment. Instead, it was discovered that my cancer was also all over the outside of my lung, chest wall and lymph node. So the surgeon closed me back up, not removing the lobe. I had stage 4 non small cell adenocarcinoma. Genetic testing was done for best course of treatment. I did chemo therapy, targeted therapies, and Alimta maintenance until 2016. Have been in remission for two years. All that shows on scans now is scar tissue. When the tumor in my lung was discovered, it was decided that we needed to do something right away.
Is it the size that determines when your doctor wants to start treatment? How do you feel about waiting?
Wishing you all the best.
