Hi good people, To start , I’m just gonna pick up where I left off my last post,, Stage 111a non small cell squaumos carcinoma diagnosed early March 2018 - triple star patient I was considered having aggressive treatments both radiation and chemotherapy followed by 1 month break to build up strength before surgery June 8 th R upper lobectomy and all lymph nodes from right lung removed - - was told they got 99% of all cancer because they removed 1 node that was still active,, A month and a half in to recovery ( which seemed to be getting harder instead of easier ) I was rushed to ER and diagnosed with Acute Pericarditis - treated just in the nick of time. I returned 3 times in a months for same stymptoms which they have yet to figure out why,, spent a total16 days in patient , They ate treating it with Colchcine 2x a day for inflammation but cardio is convinced there is something they have missed and thought Oncology should have me have a PET /CT which I was due to have anyway .. I didn’t expect the glowing clavical lymph node,, Maybe one of you can shed some light fir me,, I pray to Jesus Our Savior, this is not malignant but want to know what that would mean for me and my options if it was. Also, would that be considered a new cancer ? I realize my Oncologist will go over everything when O see her on Monday, however, I want to prepare myself a bit ,, I’m already prepared for the great news of its benign ..🙏🙏🙏🙏. Anyone? I’d appreciate any info , knowledge, and advice .. Thanks , Lisa

Clavical lymph node suspect on PET done on the 7 th- waiting on biopsy results done on the 13 th —
I had horrible chest pains for 9 months while a tumor in a lymph node was pressing on my esophagus and heart. The oncologist did not think this could cause so much pain or keep me from laying on my back. I was sent to GI specialist and Cardiology and also was prescribed Colchine 2x day. The only thing that helped me was Advil, which I lived on for all these months. Went for 2nd opinion, was sent for a biopsy and straight to radiation. I am now feeling great! The only symptom I had of pericarditis was I could not lay back with out the stabbing pain in my chest. There are nerves in that area that travel and caused problems. Wondering if this is what is going on with you. I believe this would be considered a metastasis and most likely could be radiated. Only your Oncologist can really give you the options. Good luck and know I will be thinking of you tomorrow.
That glowing node could be due to infection or cancer. I would ask about having a new biopsy. Seaspray gave you good info. If this is a mets then radiation may take care of it. I will be looking for an update after you see your dr tomorrow.
Good luck at the doctors, please keep me informed.
