My dad was admitted to the hospital yesterday because of pain he was having in his back and he was experiencing extreme fatigue.
While he was very dehydrated and has low magnesium and potassium counts , they also did another scan this evening on his back which shows he has a new tumor in the spine. The scan on the brain came back clear. Im not sure what this means..
His platlet count is extremely low and they will be doing a blood transfusion tonight to help that.
I have been so upset and crying a lot. I am so worried and trying so hard not to lose faith and hope. It's so hard to watch my dad go through this. He's such a fighter.
Please say a prayer for my dad George. May God bring him the healing he needs to get through this.❤️🙏🏻❤️

Hi Lisa, sorry your Dad is going through this. And of course, you too, its hard watching someone we love suffering. But the fact that the tumor on his brain is gone is great news. Take one step at a time, you'll find the courage to deal with this. Prayers and hugs for you and your Dad.
I'm so sorry George is having such a difficult time right now. I know he has been through so much lately.at times like this we just have to trust in god I think, and know his plan is best in the end and we don't always get to understand why. I hope your father gets stabilized and can get back to somewhat normal soon. But know you all have a friend here in tennessee who is praying and hoping for a speedy recovery. I will have you and your family in my prayers tonite.
Hi Lisa, I am sending prayers and hope. This is one evil disease and I regret not knowing anything about it until I was directly impacted. How can something so cruel be kept so hidden? At least your dad will be cared for by professional people who should be putting his well being at the top of any decision they have to make. Please look after yourself too, there may be a long difficult road ahead and you will need to be strong. For the moment, let us keep hoping and praying for a good outcome and that your dad pulls through this horrible period.
Lisa, DO NOT GIVE UP and tell your sweet daddy to do the same. I am traveling today but I will get back to you with scripture that helped me through the tough times.
Just remember, there are many cancer patients on this website who have gone through much worse and came out no evidence of disease. Once your dad is hydrated, gets magnesium and potassium levels up he will feel much better. PLUS, his body and spirit will be ready to fight. Praise God that the doctors can hydrate, give magnesium, potassium and blood transfusion. They can send that cancer to hell. am texting out to my prayer warriors now to immediately lift Lisa and George up to Jesus and ask for his healing hand and comfort, peace , MERCY.
Praise God Lisa, thank Him ahead of this for the healing only He can give.
Thank you so much for your prayers and encouragement. I'm currently sitting next to my dad in the hospital and he's sleeping and seems out of it. They did an EKG and some more tests.
Praying he comes out of this, asking God to send his healing touch and angels to help dad get strong. I look forward to the scripture.
Please extend our gratitude to your prayer warriors. Trying to stay strong even when my faith is shaken.
Your faith may be shaken, but God's shoulders are broad, and he understands the human heart - not to worry, your prayers will be heard. I am so sorry that you both find yourself in this dark place. May the light of your love for one another help to carry you through this difficult time. And, please, remember to rest if you can.
The new about the brain was terrific, now we need to get him back on his (wobbly) feet! Hugs.
So sorry to hear about your dad,. My dad too is going through stage 4 NSCLC. A bit of advise, have his spine looked at immediately. My dad's cancer has traveled down his spine to his liver. He was having pain in his upper spine area. Got radiation immediately, and it seem to have worked; no more complaints of pain. If not treated right away, could have left him permanently disabled. So please get that spine treated right away, then worry about the other stuff.....Just offering my experience with Dad.
