Do you think that a Lymphedema Physical Therapist could also provide treatment for Lymphoedema?

Hi Laurelin. I would think yes. Lymphoedema and lymphedema are the same thing. Many PT's are trained in lymphedema therapy. If someone is calling themself a lymphedema physical therapist, they should be able to treat lymphedema.

This is a UK site hence the spelling of Lymphoedema instead of the US spelling Lymphedema. As you’re in the US do ensure you use a physical therapist who is CLT or CLT-LANA qualified.

CLT = Certified Lymphedema Therapist and LANA is the highest certification that can be attained. The CLT means the PT or OT is fully trained and credentialed to provide treatment for lymphoedema. Many hospital cancer rehabs have CLTs on staff.

You can find a CLT directory and other useful information at LE&RN
