Hi Annete - apply a dry dressing - something that has no adhesive edging - a folded cotton square can be useful. If you can get some, use gauze swabs. Put something over the ‘leak’ and hold it in place using your wraps (if you still use them). It could be lymph leaking from a hair follicle. Contact your lymphoedema practitioner and let him/her know.
Thank u so much for getting back to me.... unfortunately mr doctor is retiring and has no open appointments before he leaves ... so at the moment I’m in the Er..... the leaking stopped ... but I just want for someone. To look at it
I have the same at the moment but mine is because I had a scratch on my leg. My local district nurse will come out of I need them, I usually call them if it doesn't stop within a day or two. Basically, the fluid prevents the wound from healing which needs to be managed due to the cellulitis risk (which I have had too.) As the other person has said, use an absorbant dressing, if it dries up then great, if not contact your gp or lymphodema support xx
Thank you for ur fed back I truly appreciate it .....I went to the doctors and he told me what happen was I must’ve pulled out a hair fossil and that’s why it was leaking but he saw no signs of cellulitis no sign of infection and thank you got it healed because I was petrified of getting cellulitis I’ve had it like five times already I’m so grateful that you people are here with your words of wisdom and sharing your experiences with me thank you all for being here
