Contact your Lymphodema clinic and/or GP for advice, hopefully it's nothing serious and easily resolved for you, good luck x
Get to A&E or if in US, ER - it may be cellulitis which must be treated seriously.
Yes get to the ER as soon as you can, good luck x
Next time - which I truly hope will not happen - DO NOT ASK FOR OPINION/DIAGNOSIS VIA SOCIAL MEDIA - GET TO A MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL.
Sorry to shout everyone, but I have witnessed too many complications to untreated cellulitis leaving people seriously ill, or worse, simply because they either thought it "might go away on it's own" or "I can't get an appointment with my doctor" - then they ignore advice given to them over hours/days going back and forth on forums like this.
I'm in the hospital they say it's cellulitis....I'm in gods hands..... i never experienced nothing like this before...., this is why I reached out to a group of people that would know.......thanks for all ur concern
It's cellulitis
Good luck you are in the right place now to treat the cellulitis- speedy recovery and rest up. Don't be alarmed when it gets very painful especially when you attempt to stand up, and if it gets red purple before it peels off. It may not happen like that but it has every time bar last year for me. As I say you are in the right place and let us know how you are getting on. Chin up, soldier! 🌟
You really should discuss this with youregards GP or lymphodaema clinic. Do not delay as it could be cellulitis which will need treatment.
Hi everybody I am currently in the throes of cellulitis. I know it's cellulitis I knew when it started three months th s ago that it was cellulitis. However trying to get my usual GP to listen to me was IMPOSSIBLE he kept telling me it was emotional (I had lost my husband about 15 months ago). I finally got to see another gp in the practice who wanted to know why I was not taking antibiotics. We will gloss over my comments but the outcome is that I have a four week course to take. And I am pleased to say I am no longer sitting in a chair feeling very ill and very sorry for myself. Isn't it about time that GP's were made to take notice of this condition. And to include it in medical training in the same depth as any other condition.
I got sent on my way, then taken seriously a fortnight later. A week of first line antibiotics, followed by the next option. Neither my own doctor or any others available for an appointment the following week, but there's a walk-in surgery as a last resort, which sounds as if it'll have Trafalgar-style operations.
At one point I certainly got emotional -- I could barely voice any words and was tearful. I believe this is part of Sick(ness) Behaviour, in response to the infection.
Wishing you well for your recovery. I'm not allowed in the sunshine with the pills I'm on, so we're bound to get a heatwave
