If there was a sensation of water, but no actual water on your leg, it is likely to be nerve related - however, if it worries you, go and see your doctor.

I have had that but there was actual leaking of water through my skin when it was swollen. If there was no fluid then it is probably related to nerve damage.

I have this from time to time too. At first I would be convinced that something had been spilt on me (or i’d wet myself 😬) because the sensation was so real. Sonebody in this forum suggested that it was then lymph movement however I also have likely nerve damage from the surgery which gave me lymphoedema so it could be either (sorry not very helpful but wanted you to know that other people experience this too)
