I live in Maidenhead but would be willing to travel to take part x
Charity walks: Hi everyone I had cancer four years ago... - LSN
Charity walks
The moon walk it takes place at night.
Have a look at the Macmillan website - or Cancer Research UK or Marie Curie - they usually outline where events are scheduled around the country.
If you're looking to support a lymphodema charity why not contact the LSN, see what fundraising they're organising, good luck
Good idea thanks x
I was hoping to do a walk for a lympheodema charity I think the moonwalk is for breast cancer care x
If you don't live near London, your options can be limited, so why not organise your own walk? You might be surprised how much support you get - when Help for Heroes started I had an idea to run a lunch in an Oxfordshire village, and hoped to get £100 to send to them. Remember I had two weeks to organise this, made it very simple, and put posters up around the village. I had people running down the street after me to give a donation, and we raised over £4,000. Remember KISS (keep it simple stupid) and if you can tie in a local cause, recipient etc. people now are more likely to give where they know their money makes a difference e.g. when fundraising for the RNLI we always aimed for 'small' things like "it costs £15 for a life-boatman's boots - help us equip these brave men" and we had a picture of a pair of boots, plus cost of other essential pieces of gear. This hit the spot! Good luck.
