I was diagnosed with adult onset asthma at the age of about 34, I had some symptoms before then, I have been living with the disease for a very long time, now that I have gotten older its getting worse, and summers are hard on me, and cold brutal winters bring on attacks as well....I take the maintenance inhaler spiriva every day and also my albuterol HFA, without these meds I dont know what on earth I would do, I am so thankful for them....I had an asthma attack a few weeks ago and it was SOOO scary.....but I am hanging in there now....just have to keep taking my meds

Hope you are doing well! I’m an adult onset too. I was diagnosed with asthma at 22. I was kinda shocked since I didn’t really have any symptoms prior.

Hi Rachel

I also got adult onset asthma in my early 60s. Please ask your pulmonologist about NUCALA. It a recent biologic monthly injection that has changed my life. I have my normal life back after two years of coughing wheezing and all the other unbearable features of asthma. Wish you well.
