Hi folks. I am suffering really bad with health anxieties. I stupidly google symptoms and then I always seem to end up with them. If I get over one thing I then start to worry about another ailment. At the moment it’s my liver I worry about. Just because I find one symptom I convince myself I now have liver damage. It seems to be taking over my life. I just wondered if anyone who has been in same boat has managed to feel normal again and how they have gone it. Any advice would be welcome. Many thanks

Hello pleased to meet you.

Please if I can just say we all at one time look at medical websites and Dr. Google is the answer.

I would suggest if you having anxieties about your health then you need to do something about it.

I can offer the following if you live in the UK.

Mental health charities.

richmondfellowship.org.uk

mind.org.uk

rethink.org

Offer floating support looking at wellbeing and health.

One point have concerns about health becomes a ear worm then effects bowels stomach well being physical mental.

You need to access support to deal with this.

If not living in the Uk look at your own communities.

Mentioned problems with Liver , if you are drinking to cope that needs to be addressed.

I can offer much compassion empathy and support.

If you are having problems need to seek help immediately.

The connections between the following need to be carefully considered.

Anxiety can be made worse by taking Alcohol more you worry more you consume.

Caffeine in tea, coffee, cola, chocolate cocoa energy drinks need to removed avoided.

More caffeine you drink more stimulation means more anxiety means more worry stress.

Health anxieties can be coped and deal with by coping methods strategies which are implemented by education, knowledge and learning.

FInding solutions such as CBT other therapies may not necessarily work, it is for some great to use for other long term intervention.

Why need professional help. Using mental health charities and the guidance they give.

Please if you have any questions not sure about anything please ask me .

Happy to be supportive .

Please take care

thank you so much for your kind reply.

I will certainly look into those sights you have given me.

I didn't drink a lot but had been drinking more to cope with the stress but as you say this is not the answer. I don't drink any coffee but do drink tea and will now look at cutting down on the caffeine.

I feel if I could just get rid of all these anxieties I would feel so much better and I thank you for your advice on how to do this.

Thank you so much for your offer of support and help

You take care too

You are so very kind.

I will certainly take on board all that you have suggested. I just feel in a bad place at the moment with all this anxiety. I’m sure with help I will be able to bring myself out if it.

I just seem to be obsessed at the moment looking for spider nevi on my face and arms. I think I can see them but no one else can which is obviously my state of mind and the mind is a powerful thing. It is taking away all my life at the moment I just want to feel ok again and not worry all the time

Once again thank you so much for your concern.

It is nice to know you are there if I need anything

You take care and be safe too
