Good afternoon everyone,,
I thought I'd just get on site , because the administrator seemed concerned I hadn't been on site.
I'm fine , just been busy online looking mainly for a rescue dog to keep me company.

Hello bepete
You must be a very important person if admin are wondering where you are OR admin must be very busy messaging everyone to see where they are as there are so many missing on here and have been quite
Sometimes people simply need a break or are busy
I am more concerned we have no emergency contacts pinned to the side of the page for members that might be in distress and need help but feel they do not want to talk !
So seems like you have been busy looking for a companion , I hope you are getting closer to finding one , lot's of dogs out there needing good homes , there will be one somewhere just waiting for you
Good luck and hope you are successful soon
Take Care x
Hi Lula.
I just missed out on French bull terrier last week, it seems these days people have to make appointments with the rspca to view, which I did but was told all appointments were filled for the day and when I checked on line later in the day, the dog had been reserved !.
It was such a good looking dog, and that's what happens.
I'd rung my bro in law to take me to Liverpool, which is around 15mils from me, that's the prob since I'm not allowed to drive now.
I've looked on dogs trust in my area and different rescue centres ,but I've got my name down on a couple sites now the favourite being north west westie rescue ,but they don't adopt out in December ,you can imagine why ?
So I might keep that one in mind, because my sister's dog is a westie and he loves me so much as when I go with them to Wales ,were they have a holiday place, it's always me who takes him for a walk in the mornings.
So a westie would be ideal for me as it's a small spunky dog that I can easily control.
I'm used to bigger terriers I've had staffies for 21years I also had a prize winning cocker spaniel I used to win at obedience and breed shows with.
But these days after my diagnosis I can't take so much pressure on , just want a good companion.
I've been having a couple of days out with my sis also who has altziemers as you know, she gave a me conch shell and a blown glass bouble for my Christmas tree with a letter P in it bless her.
I've also been busy with retail internet shopping and have all the presents for Christmas day as I'm being invited to my sister's for the day and overnight, because my bro in laws son is doing the cooking, and his other son is coming home from abroad for the occasion so
So I've got my Scandinavian jumper ready and lots of special drinks to go round, brought in from wales were they do absolutely wonderful gins and whiskeys , my sister's favourite from this year were Turkish delight and violet guns , which are fabulous.
I like whiskey and so does my sister's step sons, and bro in law likes Tennessee whiskey a special honey blend.
I'm off to Salford royal tomorrow for my electromyography ,I'm not too keen on that as they attach me to the mains and flick the switch, to make me twitch ( little rime there !).
As I'm sitting here writing I'm doing some music therapy listening to barbera streisands latest duet album, so I'm fairly mellow now.
Over the last few days I've had a lot of pain but at this time of day I'm usually the most comfortable , probably because I'm consuming a nice bottle of red ,and of course listening to music with to lights on the trees making me feel nice and cosy.
Good night Lula, sleep tight.
Pete.
