How the hell do we survive this terrible illness. Don't know how long i can do this. The overwellming symptoms that make you feel like you have a terrible illness. Not voping well at the moment. Struvgling to cook dinner at the moment while my legs are tingly and feel i don't want to do this anymore. Have docyors appointment in couple of days if i make it lol. How can we enjoy life feeling like crap everyday. Just had enough docs appointment in 2 days for what to be told anxiety. Can anyone relate to this.

Keeping it togethet.
Good Morning Dorsey
Well here in the UK it is , not sure what time you are on
I relate to how you feel
I went to the Doctors last week and feel no better for doing so , I admit it was more physical issues I went with but they are playing on my anxiety yet I still feel no calmer for going but I know why because my anxiety can get stronger than common sense sometimes and then it becomes a battle and when it does any battle comes with fear and with fear comes more anxiety and this normally is why we constantly feel as we do
I think accepting how we feel rather than feel we have to fight it and try and feel different can be the way to go as once we do the fear is less and we can start seeing glimmers of feeling different and slightly better
Have you had any help with your anxiety like tried medication or is that a no no , or maybe therapy ?
I also take a list of what I want to ask the Doctor , so I don't forget and as I go down the list she has to answer each one
Also before you go to the Doctors have you any thoughts on what you would like them to do ?
This can be another question I ask myself because then after I have gone through my list I say at the end ...and this is what I would like
I know it feels like they don't understand and I imagine some of them don't but I also think they may not know what to do for us at times to and that is why I think if we know what we are looking for to help it can be good that we tell them
Good luck with that appointment and let us know how you get on
Take Care x
T hanks lulu evening here. Yes don't think doctors understand unless they have felt this way how could they possibly understsnd. Mine have always been physical symptoms for as long as i can remember. Some go away but others just linger. I am 68 and a doctor told me to go get a job. Do they not u nderstand how we feel. Why would i want to get a job i have plenty to d o if these symptoms would just go away. The only time i find releif is when i ge t out and have a couple of drinks which isn't very often. Ne ver thoujght i would suffer as much as i have the ladt 2 years. I have booked in to see a councillor hope this will help. Tried meds before never had much luck but then i dont really like relying on a band aid cover up
😎😚
Hello
Evening , so is it Sunday Evening then , I will get the hang of this time difference eventually
Yes I know I suppose Doctors are like anyone else it can be hard for them to understand unless they have been there even though I have to say my Doctor does try
I get where you are coming from with meds but like a cut sometimes we need a band aid to help it heal so for some meds can work in a similar way for anxiety but it is an individual choice
I am pleased you have Counselling lined up , my motto is if we don't try these things we will never know if it would work for us and I hope you do get something from it , but again you will not be any worse of for trying
What age to they retire over where you are , I would have thought and no offence if you were not plagued with anxiety you would be relaxing enjoying life and hobbies and things by now , obviously your Doctors like you to work a lot longer maybe
Have you tried different Doctors in your practice , I found some are better than others at trying to understand us
I hope you get a good nights sleep and you have a lovely evening x
Can retire at 65. My doctor just thought it would bee good for me to get out there but i wou ld if i ccould get these symptoms to go away.
Dorsey, I feel for you. It’s hard to get out there while suffering so. Do things you love if you can manage. And I know things can feel overwhelming with all of the anxiety symptoms. I hope the counseling will help you. Best to you. 💕
We can all relate to a certain extent; depending on our level of anxiety etc. stay strong . One day at a time . Be well
Hi Dorsey
Sorry to hear you are struggling. Anxiety can be such a scary feeling and have so many different symptoms it’s really hard to carry on with life as normal when we are feeling so bad.
I hope that you start to feel better soon. I see Lulu has mentioned medication, if you haven’t already it may be worth discussing it with your doctor ,to help you through this time and help make life that little bit easier
I wish you all the best.
