I'm starting to feel a lot better after my recent anxiety episode!
The only thing is I've still not got much of an appetite.
How long has people's appetites taken to come back after an episode?
Thank you all & the calmest of wishes to you xx

Hello Ffaiers
I really hope you get more replies than just mine but while you are waiting I have had loss of appetite numerous times over the years due to anxiety , it won't harm you , make sure you are drinking and just eat when you feel like it
The more importance you give your appetite the more you won't feel like eating if you tell yourself it does not matter you might find you start to get back to normal quicker
Hi darling, I feel like I'm almost obsessing over it! It's the first thing I think about when I wake up. I keep thinking I'll pass out if I don't eat enough & that in turn makes me anxious 😩
Well that is your answer you are obsessing which will stop you feeling hungry
I doubt very much you will pass out , try and eat little bits but often , even if you just have one slice of toast in a morning , a small sandwich at lunch and a little meal at night as long as you keep your fluids up as well you won't pass out
Fruit maybe even if you cannot eat all of it , milky drinks any of these things will feed you
Been to the doctors today and BP is up so got to increase my medication I take for it which I wish I had not got to do but will have to accept it because in the long run it is best to get it down
They say we are getting some more nice weather so that will be nice if we do x
Agree , some nice weather always makes everything seem so much better
O that is good and of course you will feel those emotions , natural to do so , excited because you can maybe feel that feeling that at last help to get you back on track and fear because of the unknown but I am sure it will all go well and let us know how it does go , just be honest with them remember whatever you say they will have heard it before and more but if we tell them everything they know the best treatment that will help us but at the same time also remember you have a say to in your treatment so if there is anything suggested that you are not happy with you can say no but I am sure between you a plan tapered just for you will be put into place
I have such a love hate relationship with food. One week I have absolutely no appetite then others all I want to do is eat. I try not to work myself up over it as that's when I start to let my anxiety creep back in.
When I don't feel like eating at all I just try and have an orange as I feel it's one of those foods that you can graze on and doesn't need to be eaten in one mouthful. But I know how tough it can be so don't go diving straight in as that won't help you at all.
