whats the best animal for a person with depression ?
I have a cat and it is very soothing to stroke. But I take my sisters dog out every day and that makes me get out of the house so that is good for depression.
hi Rochelle, yes I would a cat as well, easy to look after especially if you don't go out a lot, they don't need exercise, nice to touch as well, lovely companion.xx
Hi x I have both cat and dog x and both are very good for people with depression x However if you cannot get out and about a cat is the easier option x they pretty much look after themselves x with the exception of changing litter trays and feeding x And they are very loving and seem to know when to come give love and affection x

I agree most animals , but if I had a choice it would be a dog , even though I would go for a small dog , I like West Highland Terriers , maybe because thats what we had when I was growing up
