Breakfast
Yum! 😋
That looks delicious Hidden 😀
Looks yummy
I had similar at weekend with some wilted spinach and mushrooms 😊
Yes I’ve gone off mushrooms but I’m sure I will be back on them soon.🌹
How manny meals a day do you eat?
Are you able to keep your weight above 6 stone?
Looks wonderful, especially when it's made for you, I'll enter this in the "Egg Off" x
On holiday in motorhome so I’ve just had a full English for lunch complete with a glass of rose! 😱 Very decadent! OH had the beans and toast.
That’s sounds lovely and in a motor home, it’s always been my dream to holiday in one.🌹
We hired one to start with. Today Warwick tomorrow Brecon!
Very nice sounds wonderful 🌹
That looks great! Only difference I would make is frying the tomato. Oh, and maybe some black pudding, if fitted with my carb allowance.
I love my tomatoes like that, and yes black pudding is lovely 🌹
fried tomatoes, baked beans and try to avoid the hash browns. Think my favourite is smoked salmon and scrambled eggs with chopped spring onions and diced ham cooked in.
Then up and at 'em.
Not baked beans!! 🤯 Beans are naturally high in carbs, and then they add sugar to them. A can of baked beans has over 50g net carbs, and nearly half of that is sugar. No more part of a low carb breakfast than hash browns or toast.
True. I shall experiment with butter beans...
That’s why I have never had them since I’ve been on my plan🌹
For some unknown reason I got it into my head that beans are a form of protein...
They are, according to EatWell Guide, food pyramid etc, but most legumes including baked beans have more carbs than protein. That is why it's very hard to construct real food, vegan, keto diet.
Soy/edamame actually has more protein than carbs, and tofu (which I count as a real food) is low carb. Beyond that, if you are getting your protein from legumes, you will likely get more carbs than protein, even before adding "vegetables" to your plate. The alternative would be protein isolates, but that is highly processed so not real food.
Thanks for this reply. It is a very interesting piece of the jigsaw. I am at a weight that I am happy with so I tend to follow a low carbish sort of diet, but still eat things like porridge. Basked beans are , as you said, full of sugar so I don't eat them very often.
