My husband is prescribed Entresto and has experienced no issues.....he has been following the Low Carb Real Food lifestyle for many years. It helped him reverse his T2D diagnosis.

Get the diet right first and the Low Carb community is a great place to start that journey - dietdoctor.com. You mention kidney issues - look at the work of Dr Jason Fung - a Canadian nephrologist. He recognised that sugar was the driving problem of his kidney patients. He has a number of excellent short talks at Dietdoctor.com that can slowly introduce you to gaining a better understanding of the root cause. He has his own web site, but I believe watching his videos at Dietdoctor.com is the best place to start that learning journey.
