Does anyone also suffer from this? I’m in agony with it. I’ve had the dots for at least 3 years but they have recently become very painful. Any suggestions as to what to do? And if it’s dangerous? Thanks All,

Are these different from petechiae? I found I had a lot of petechiae when my platelets were very low/single figures, but they gave a sensation of uncomfortable "stretching" rather than actual pain. It sounds worth talking to your haematologist. I hope you get the problem resolved 🙂
Around 10 years ago after taking prednisone for a bad case of poison ivy that I caught on my shins, I started getting red bumps that became incredibly itchy. I saw multiple doctors and allergists and had a biopsy, yet no one could tell me what it was. They were maddening and constantly inflamed.
One year ago I was diagnosed with ITP, I was given prednisone again and they went away. Unfortunately nothing's worked to keep my platelets stable, and I've been receiving IVIG regularly, along with the steroids that go along with them.
When I'm fortunate enough to go long stretches between IVIG, the itchy bumps come back.
I don't know if this matches what you're going through, but I haven't been convinced these bumps and my ITP aren't related and thought I'd share.
Thanks Stateofdesign,I also think they are related but my GP thinks they are circulation problems.
