a couple beers is ok or not with the promacta ???
Better not to take the risk in my opinion.. both are harmful for your gut.. I would advise to have clean and balanced diet avoiding alcohol sugar caffeine and if possible gluten.
Hi There! I don't drink alcohol, but do drink coffee...only organic...I have gone several months caffeine free before and seen no change in my levels...everyone is different, though...try your own body test is all you can do...I've been eating clean and gluten free way long before diagnosed with ITP, but have found that I don't want to give up things I enjoy just in case...per say...this condition takes so much from us already...I'm currently on 20 mg prednisone daily, but tapering slowly...I was at 10 mgs daily for maintenance, but had to increase for a surgery...my platelets range from 42 to 58 last few months...Promacta will be my next choice if need arises...I'm not an active bleeder when at low levels, so hematologist treats me via symptoms, not levels...have dropped to 14k before with no symptoms...which is nice in one way, but scary in others... I'm not sure if I answered your question, but I'm just saying I personally believe moderation in anything is key...I have tried so many diet switches to no avail...best of luck to you...
hi !! was on 60 m. prednisone and they are weaning me down … at 20 m.g, now nasty stuff .. hope promacta can work and that's all I have to take .. thurs. I et a level count and I its up from the 60k I will be elated … I also was at 14k with no symptoms … makes you wonder if yotook nothing . how bad could it possibly be ?? stay well and stay in touch .. jimmy
