Agreed, but make sure your doc monitors liver tests and overall blood counts closely. It can cause disruptions. But yea, for platelets only it sure is awesome!

Have been on Promacta (Eltrombopag in UK) 50 mg/day for 4 1/2 years. My platelet count was very low at about 12 when I started the Eltrombopag. Within a couple of months it was averaging a very safe 100 and it stayed like that for the next 3 years. The last 1 1/2 years my platelets have risen to an average of 150 so my doctor has cut my dose from 50mg to 25mg /day. My average count is now about 80 with the lower dose. So less drugs going into my body and still a safe platelet count.

Eltrombopag (Promacta) has given me a safe platelet count with no side affects and a completely normal active life.
