Muscle pain

My platelets are currently 114 with the help of prednisone. I have had muscle pain for ten weeks now just below my ribs on the right. I also have CLL but watch and wait - no treatment. Does anyone else suffer from muscle pain and what do they take bearing in mind we can't take Ibroprofen?

Hi, I also suffered from pains down both sides of my flank whilst on pred- to the extent that the doctors ended up prescribing tramadol and amitriptyline. I visited numerous doctors including a rheumatologist but got no specific answers.

In my case the pains lasted the whole duration of my stint on the steroids and for a time after. I hope you can get some relief

Hi I am not on any meds for ITP but suffer a lot of joint pain (maybe my age) but my doctor says to just take paracetemol and codeine when necessary. Seems to stop it a while.

For me it's Tylenol. It helps somewhat, sometimes, but it's the only pain medication I can tolerate.

hi i was of steroids for 2 years after having rituximab treatment but relapsed 3 months ago,this time i seem to ache more as im tapering of the steroids,count was 338 on 40 mg now gone down to 119 on 10mg,doctor keeping me on 10 mg for another 3 weeks so hopefully body kicks in and stabilises them as i come of them,but you can get muscle pain with them and numbness in certain parts of your body,you can take paracetamol with them thats what i use

Yes I have the same pain in my right side just below my rib cage. Everyone thinks I am crazy. I just had a liver scan and everything was ok. Muscle pain all the time.

Found out yesterday it could be gallstones. Going for ultrasound tomorrow

It's not gallstones so back to drawing board.

No one has found what mine is since 2010 and so I just live with it. I even had exploratory surgery.
