Blue Bruise with swelling and pain...is it normal?

On my left foot near the fingers a big blue bruise appeared with a bit pain and swelling...Is it due to low platelets (itp) or something is seriously wrong?

Even when you get hurt, you will get same kind of bruise but even I get swollen Bruise with pain sometimes when count gets very low. Watch and see if it vanishes by itself in few days, if yes, then it's due to ITP.

With ITP you can bruise very easily all over your body the bruises are black and can stay for weeks once they eventually go you can be left with a stain on the skin

Hi Umar

Maybe check your mouth for blood blisters. If I see bruises and also have blisters in my mouth that means that my count is very low and I have to go and get some treatment. I probably wouldn't go if I just had the odd bruise. But always seek medical advice if you're worried as its better to make sure that you keep safe.
