Hello everyone, my husband has been considering having Gastric Weight Loss Surgery using the key hole method.

Has anybody had experience with having surgery or even gastric surgery and how that is effected by the ITP.

Grateful for any advice.

Bye

I recently saw a haemotologist who said anything above 50 is as normal, including operations. They can also build up blood before an operation. Check this online.

As for gastric bypass -- that is drastic and painful with a number of attendant, later side effects. Check that, too. It may, of course, be necessary for other health conditions,

Good luck!

Tell him not to do it. Surgery disturbs God's intended function of the body. A better approach which is well known to work for weight loss is a low carb diet and even better a ketogenic diet.
