No need to afraid from ITP

My son,13 now was diagnosed with ITP in 2016, since then lots of steroids,so many IVIG and lots of costly medication, ......

A long period of trauma, physically, psychologically, mentally. Spent so much but of no use.

Then we shifted to ayurvedic medicine, it's been 9 months my son got admitted to any hospital now. Still sometimes his platelet count fall, but we give him papapya leaf and giloy devotion. His counts remain around 20,000 only but for ITP patient it's enough.

We have stopped his heavy steroids long ago, now he is just on 5 mg.omnacortil

We just try to keep his count to be near 20,000. We don't want to raise his platelet count to high using any steroids.

He is also doing yoga and pranayam.

All i can say is he is much better on ayurvedic medicine rather than allopathy.

Amla tablets (also ayurvedic) are beneficial.

If he doesnt have any active bleeding, then no need of any medication with my experience. I had taken homeopathy for 6 months which didnt help at all, so I didn't even try ayurvedic as doctors were not sure of curing any ITP patient. Since he is very young, ITP might even go away anytime. So it's better to be off of any medicines and follow healthy diet is what I feel.
