Romoplostin, 're n,plate . Us there any one in South Wales injectingin their own home . Instead of hospital.
Although I do not live in South Wales, I was interested in your post. I live in the North East of England and until February of this year I had been self injecting NPlate for over 2 years. The only reason I stopped was because of a touring holiday I had booked for the summer. I realised I would be unable to keep the drug refrigerated so I asked my haematologist if there was a tablet I could take instead. Eltrombopag was prescribed and because it had such a fantastic effect on my platelet count,I have stayed on it (my count rose from a fairly stable 40-60 on NPlate to over 150.) I suspect your question has to do with seeking permission to self inject. In my case it took a few months for permission to be granted, after a board meeting at the hospital, and assurances from myself that I had the correct storage facilities (ie a fridge!), and after being taught how to put the NPlate pack together to make up the injection. At the time it was the best thing that had happened to me with regard to my condition. I hope you get the answer you want. Good luck.
