Hi I was just wondering if anyone has had any success with diet in alleviating symptoms of itp and underactive thyroid (caused by autoimmune response) and preventing development of any other autoimmune disorders?

ITP and under active thyroid
I think that if there was a diet that did that, we wouldn't have ITP. I've found changes in my diet did nothing for my platelet count.
Hi Dancingsocks99, though the anti gluten, anti dairy, anti sugar and anti processed food diet had helped I reducing my RA inflammation, it has done nothing for my ITP. I take papaya leaf tablet to maintain at least 70 k. Without papaya leaf tablet, my platelet drops drastically . I don't think there is any diet that can increase platelet. I am not on any drug for RA, as it has the tendency to reduce my platelets.
Papaya leaf tablet also increases production of platelets in the bone marrow, like some allopathic drugs. But I have not tried those as the side effects scare me.
I have been on papaya leaf tablet for the past 7 months, along with the anti diet I mentioned above. My overall health is so much better now, I completed a 5 km walk. I don't get that many bruises now, though I have occasional gum bleeding.
Gluten free seems almost mandatory, and also checking your gut health. Many people who have ITIP actually have a bacterial overgrowth in their gut.
Good luck!
