Hi, research is being done all the time on this disease and people are raising funds through the year to help fund it. There will be a time in the future where a simple pill or jab will ease it.

Dear 4Lady:

We would need a MAGICIAN - not a doctor or scientist! Yes it would be wonderful to find a cure...but after close to 4 years and at my age (71) I am not holding out hope. It's something we deal with every day. We fight demons every day. I get lots of emails from the Lupus Foundation - asking ME for donations. I think that is wrong. Why ask someone who constantly visits labs and doctors, and pays co-pays, for money for research? I'm the one struck down!

Omg , yes I have been on romaplostim injections for a year now. It works for me, thankgod. But I have to drive for 45 mminutes to the hospital every Wednesday for my injection which takes 5mins. If only I could do it myself. Or even if the local nurse could administer it for me.

Research is what we all need. Has anyone heard if there is any going on at all? This condition is such a mystery and complicated thing. Why do we get it ?

Will there ever be a cure? Every person is different with itp, .

when I read that some people are in remission, im amazed. How does that happen. ?

I want my life back. And im luckier than some people, at least my treatment works for me most of the time.

We all need to fight for research. Good luck to everyone who has itp .
