Does having ITP affect how old you are when you get your period?

My daughter is 14 and hasn't gotten hers yet and she has ITP. I got mine when I was 12.

Hi my non Itp daughters both were about 15 and 17 when they started theirs whereas I was 11 so I guess they start later nowdays, nothing to worry about. My doctor was not concerned at the time I took them to see him.

I was diagnosed with ITP when I was 5 years old, got my period at the age of 10/11...so don't think ITP has anything to do with the delay. Some girls get it very early, some very late and some average, we are all different!!

Hi, I have ITP and started mine when I was 12. As before it varies and I'm sure it will be soon, I wouldn't worry too much. My mum was 10 when she started hers and she doesn't have ITP lol
