Hey winston.... I am good... and I really wish that you are also good. Back to your question well dear results from diagnostic tests conducted in both the male and female partner can help you and your doctor decide whether you are a good candidate for IUI, or if another treatment such as IVF might be more successful. Take Care honey

Hi winston1, There is not any kind of certain parameters by which one can decide that IUI is right for her. well scientists are continually developing more innovative tests to assess fertility potential to help make this important decision. Take for instance tests that look at sperm at the level of the DNA. These tests can assess factors associated with infertility that cannot be detected in a standard semen analysis.

Hi winston, how r you dear?? Well there are some fertility issues in which IUI is a right choice. One of them is male factor infertility - it can be treated with IUI. If your partner has a low sperm count or poor sperm movement, the sperm washing procedure does boost the chances of conception. Overall, a fertility specialist can determine if you are a good candidate for IUI by analyzing all of these factors.

Hey Winston. I hope you are well. IUI is a great solution for childless couples. It is particularly good for those who are going through male factor infertility. IUI can be truly helpful in such cases. Also, it is a good option for women aspiring to be single mothers. Hope this was helpful.

Hello Winston. I am fine and I hope you are also enjoying good health. I hope you have concerned this with your doctor that if you IUI is suitable for you or not. If you have not consulted your doctor. You and your husband should take some diagnostic tests so that the doctor can easily decide that rather you should go for IUI or some other alternative to it. Take care.

Hi Winston. Yes, there are a lot of things to take into consideration. Your doctor can guide you the best. There are many different treatment options available. Choosing the most suitable one is important. It can increase the chances of success. For example, IUI is effective for male factor infertility. It is also suitable for other cases too. This was just one example. I hope it works out well for you. Consult a fertility specialist. An RE can guide you about which option is the best for you. Let us know how it goes. Good luck!

Hi Winston. How did it go? Have you decided whether to go for IUI or not? I have been TTC for two years now. It hasn't been a very successful journey 4 rounds of IVF resulted in bfn. I took some time off to recollect my thoughts. Now, I am considering IVF. Another option is surrogacy. I can't seem to decide between the two. Do let me know how your experience went. Was it effective? How much did it cost? I hope your help will allow me to make an informed decision. Thank you.

Hey there. There are tons of options out there. IUI is one of them. However, there are many others too. It can be hard deciding which one to go for. I was TTC for 3 years. Finally, I managed to succeed thanks to ICSI. So, I am more inclined towards that. However, you asked about IUI. I did consider that too. My doctor recommended it too. He said it was a good place to start. Especially since it was one of the cheaper options out there. ICSI or IVF is considerably more expensive. However, we weren't prepared for multiple attempts. So, we went with the one which sounded the most promising.

Hello Winston, thank you for such an informative post. People are getting more aware of the procedures to treat infertility. IUI is also one of them. It's a more cost-effective method compared to other treatments. IUI is good for you if your Fallopian tubes aren't blocked. Your doctor will also check the quality of your eggs as it is the most important factor. However, if you have PCOs your doctor may advise you to go for IUI. Reason being, no medications are given for stimulation. Patients with cervical mucus in female or having male fertility problems also qualify for IUI. Usually, doctors advise going for 6 to 7 IUI cycles before moving on to other high tech solutions such as IVF.

Hi, its good to clear questions which are in your mind. As far as IUI is concerned there is a specific test which is performed to rule out the preferred procedure. There is a clinic which will examine you properly and will refer you the best treatment and medications. They can provide you an alternative too. If you are totally involved in this you should better visit that clinic. I hope this information will be useful for you. Good luck with whichever procedure you choose for yourself. May it brings the best results.

Hello. May I ask how long have you been TTC for? Most fertility specialists recommend not seeking treatment for at least a year. This is because even fertile couples can take this long. So, its best to wait before you jump in. IUI usually is the first option women go for. It is quite an effective treatment option. However, the effectiveness varies from person to person. Visit a doctor. Have yourself checked out? Provide all the tests. Your doctor can advise you accordingly. I hope this helps. Keep us posted. Good luck!

Hey. Am very happy that you decided to go with one cycle of IVF. I wish you Good Luck with all this. Your age limit is beyond the limit usually in this age egg count decreases and ovulation problem arises. But consulting a specialist and after proper IVF this problem can be resolved. And am really happy that you finally found a cheap and patient-friendly clinic. Fingers crossed for your future.

Hello Winston. Have you chosen whether to go for IUI or not? I have been TTC for a long time now. I do not need to go for IVF as I am perfectly fertile. My heart disease is the real issue. I took some time off to remember my contemplation. Presently, I am thinking about surrogacy. Another alternative is IVF for you. I can't settle on the surrogacy. Do tell me how your experience went. Is it safe to say that it was compelling? What amount did it cost? I trust your assistance will enable others to settle on a well-known choice. Much thanks to you.

Hi Winston. I am good. I hope you are also fine. There are many other options available. IUI is one of those options. All procedures have different success rates. However, not all the procedures are suitable for everyone. Therefore, it becomes hard to choose one. I was unable to conceive a baby due to one of the life taking disease. I was left with no option other than surrogacy. I managed to have my baby through surrogacy. Therefore, I am more satisfied with it. However, the experiences will be different for different people. However, her case might be different from all of us. Therefore, you should consult the doctor for best opinions and suggestions regarding infertility procedure.

Hello Winston, how are you? I am doing well. What about you? I hope you get the best answers and advice in this forum. One can surely know what infertility procedure is right for them by consulting their fertility doctors. Doctors do conduct some tests from both male and female and then decide which infertility treatment will suit best to them either IVF, IUI, ICSI or surrogacy. Women have 10-20% chance to get pregnant with only 1 IUI cycle; with more IUI cycles e.g. 3 cycles make 80% chances for women to get pregnant. I hope you get your answer. Are you asking it for yourself or any friend? Keep us updated if you need any help. Take care.

Hi, I'm glad to hear that you are thinking of opting the IUI option. I hope everything turns out well for you. Further, I don't think you are that old. Worrying about the egg retrieval and stuff should the last thing our girl should be concerned about. You consult your doctor (preferably a specialist) and tell us what they have to say. Also, please don't go for cheaper options here. Expert may charge top dollars but at least you will feel more assured. Best of luck!

Hi! The best candidates for IUI are those couples without tubal disease or severe male factor infertility. Women with severe endometriosis or a history of pelvic adhesions are not good for it. Although couples with male factor infertility can attempt IUI, the success rates are fairly low in such cases, and prompt consideration should be given to IVF and ICSI if pregnancy fails to occur after three or four attempts. If you are interested in IUI, you will want to meet with your doctor to make sure that you are a good candidate for the procedure. Your doctor will need to confirm that your fallopian tubes are open, and not blocked and make further suggestions.
