hi my dad is an 62 years old diabetic patient he had an left middle cerebral artery stroke
He was normal at the beginning and had TPA and everything was absolutely normal he was about to have mechanical thrombectomy but then he felt dizzy and the doctors recommended a craniotomy decompression
He was in an induced coma for I think 4-5 days
No the sedation is off for one week and he didn’t wake up until now
His blood pressure, oxygen saturation, temperature, respiratory rate are all within the normal range and he is stable now
Also they put tracheostomy for him
Any similar story guys ? I want anything to reassure me since I’m so worried and stressed

it took me eleven days to properly come around after a coma, I experienced chronic hypoactive delirium which manifested as minimally responsive.
Fearing a hypoxic brain injury after multiple organ failure due to septic shock, I was taken for scan which was inconclusive. I woke up in my own good time.
hi there my partner 9 weeks ago had a massive stroke ( bleed on the brain ) similar story she had her skull removed to relive pressure she was in a coma for about a month so it took a while for her to come around even though her eyes was open she had a tracky tube fitted what she had to do was get weaned off the ventilator by spending less and less time on it in intervals so 4 hours off it then that will get increased gradually until she no longer needed it that’s when they capped it and currently she is awake speaking and been moved onto the stroke ward it’s a long road with lots of ups and downs but talking helps a lot
