So I was in a coma for about 8 days . I had swine flu ,pneumonia and sepsis. I’m ok and that’s the main thing. My hair has just started falling out and I feel a bit achey. My GP said I need to have blood tests for under-active thyroid. He completely dismissed that just 11 weeks previous I had been in a coma etc . It’s made me worry and a bit angry ! X

In december 2017 I was in an induced coma, did ECMO, had septicemia, multiple organ failure... and I survived. Later I was diagnosed with hypothiroidism (Hashimoto disease). Now I take Eutirox everyday and I'm ok. So, don't worry. Everything will be ok

Doctors are so weird sometimes! Don't worry I think what you are experiencing is from what happened to you. Icu stays really cause a lot of achy muscle issues I always say it feels like I have the flu I had those feelings for so long still do but not as bad. And the hair loss is definitely from what happened. But I guarantee it will stop and it will absolutely grow back. When it first happened to me I found so many things saying it won't or it might etc but I'm telling you it will. 😊
