If its for a first appointment its usually around a month to six weeks.

Gosh things must have improved a lot. I went first in 2004 and the wait was around 1 YEAR, even follow up appoinments were that long despite the Dr's saying come back in 6 weeks or whatever. When we reached the appointment desk we were told, "oh it will be about 6 months to a year". "But the Dr said come back in 6 weeks" " Well he may have but there are no appoinments".

My first appointment i had to wait 7 weeks from referral and I was seen for the follow up appointment 6 weeks later almost to the day. I now have another appointment for June. Owing to distance that i have to travel they have offered email/conact if i have problem in the meantime (i ve not had to try this service yet so can't comment)

Now i don't think it always works this well for others and i am at a lost to know why.............as i know different to anyone else on this site.

I do think they have got them selves better organised since they moved the clinic to the 1sr floor. I am having to go up every 2/4 weeks and don't have a prob getting an appointment. As a by the by the reception staff are lovely

Hi

I think my first appointment took about 6 weeks, then 6 weeks later further appointment after 3 months, next one in May, but have been told to ring if need to go sooner!!!

Second that, the reception staff and consultant secretaries are really nice and very helpful.

Take care gentle hugs, love Sheena xxxxxxxxx
