I was prescribed rivaroxaban however im going to get a second opinion thru my heart dr as i have a valve problem and i read that it can cause blood to pool in the heart. Also if u have a prolonged bleeding time(which i do) it can cause bleeding. My hemo recommended it for me because i have low factor VIII and the aspirin is making it lower. The rivaroxaban works on the factorXa. That said, if u dont have any complications from what ive heard its a promising medicine and ive heard people say they felt tremendously better. Personally im hoping my heart dr clears me for it, im game

No APS patient in the UK should be on Rivaroxaban as it hasn't been trialled for us yet! I have heard of a couple of cases around the country, but they soon stop when they realise the trail hasn't started yet.

I have just started taking Rivaroxaban after being on fragmin injections for 7 months.....my consultant said lots of good things about this drug.....so heres hoping it does the job.
