What is a 'low grade connective tissue disorder'?

Sorry, me again ;)

Prof K said I have borderline bloods like a low positive ANA and symptoms that show I've got a low grade/mild connective tissue disorder, rather than full blown lupus. What does he mean by that? Does this mean I could develop lupus or is it something else?

I was diagnosed with un specified connective tissue disease it is a diagnosis that they tend to give when you are on the spectrum for lupus have a number of signs and some blood chemistry but not enough for lupus. Both my mother and daughter have lupus but I have never had a positive blood test for lupus but an unspecified positive ana hope that helps

Thanks! Hope you don't mind me asking - how are they managing and treating you? Is it a case of having plaquenil or whatever meds you need and then they need to keep less of a close eye on you coz your not at such a risk of major complications, it not being full blown lupus? I like your description of it being a spectrum, that makes a lot of sense.
