have an appointment tomorrow with a neurologist, bet he knows nothing about sneddons or APS so im taking some documents with me about them. Feeling quite anxious about it but I know he will not be able to answer my question fully will most properbly need some tests first.
Neurologist: have an appointment... - Hughes Syndrome A...
Neurologist
Hi Sharon
I was first diagnosed with APS by a neurologist but subsequent ones that I have seen have been the worst at knowing about APS and have been very sceptical of it and its symptons and effects. What they don't seem to grasp is that we may have a general sluding of the blood, rather than a specific clot.
Do take a full medical history with you and do take some information from the HSF website about APS>
Good luck and best wishes.
Dave
i was originally diagnosed by a neurologist but then my care was taken over by a rheumatologist both have since retired..Had some scary problems with my memory recently so gp wants me to see neurologist...
thanks xx
Hi there, the neurologist should have your notes and see previous colleague's opinion - so that is a starting point... and please do down load and print out some papers of the HSF site, there are several on there. Let us know if you need a hand. Mary F x
Hi Sharon
Just to wish you good luck with the Neuro tomorrow, as Mary says they should have some of your notes, hopefully with that and the info you take along, you should have a reasonable appointment!
All the best hon!
I know it's easy to say, but try and rest tonight and not to worry too much.
Take care gentle hugs love Sheena xxxxx
