Hi hon

Welcome n glad you found us. An Inr of 4.0 is on the high, thin end of the range, less sticky! Some APS patients need and prefer to be around the 4.0 mark as we find we feel better. If you're concerned it may be too high for you, do get checked by your medical team.

I hope this helps.

Take care gentle hugs love Sheena xxxxx :-) :-) :-)

Hello

It depends what your INR range is supposed to be. Some people have to be between 2-3. Others like myself have to be between 3 and 4. Whoever is treating you may suggest dropping the dosage of the medication you take eg warfarin or may see what your INR is at the next test. It may have raised due to something you ate or drank over Christmas.

My INR often goes out of range, it's currently 2.1. A few weeks ago it was 5.3. So it can jump all over the place. Do as Sheena suggests.

Take care xx

Agree with jessielou & janekins ;0) Depends on what they want u're range 2 run at. Mine is 2.5 to 3.5 so 4 me it would b too thin (I generally start bleeding in2 bits & pieces when it goes above 4.5 but as janekins demonstrates, she has gone as high as 5.3 with no bleed so it just depends.

Depends on your medical history , my inr was 4.7 this week , that was too high for me . My Dr would like me between 3-3.5 ... That has yet to happen :(
