Impressed that they noticed you couldn't go on Wednesdays. I put down couldn't go to an appointment before mid morning because of fatigue, so what did I get 9.15 in a centre 20miles away!!! But obviously she hadn't read the part that said you needed to see a doctor before calling you!!!!!!!!!

I thought everyone who went for medical saw a doctor?

Think they do it just to stress you out, I hate seeing doctors at the best of times .

When I had my assessment I didn't see a Dr she was a physio !! And I still got turned down. I am now in the process of appealing ... ATOS don't listen to half what u tell them ... PITA the lot of 'em.

When my daughter had her assessment she saw a nurse who had no idea what ME/CFS was and kept saying you get very tired then .....

I wonder why I have to see a doctor?

I was due to have an assessment last Thursday but had a call an hour before said appointment to tell me the nurse hadn't turned up. In the past I have always seen a doctor, they are probably replacing nurses with doctors because it is cheaper and easier to question their opinions????

sharon is this the first time you have been on ESA, and been sent for a medical, what group are you in already? WRAG OR SUPPORT GROUP, or are you on the old incapacity? Try to get medical support letters before you go, good luck.

Was on incapacity before indefinetly. Its hard to get support letters because all my consultants have retired and where in different hospitals to the one I go to now.

I not too bothered which one they put me in WRAG or support as I will still get it after 1 year as I have no other income.

Annoying that they stress you out for no reason, now have to wait for another phone call!!!!

I have not heard of that one, it is all down to the medical assessor and how many points you have, which is awful if we fail we might have to claim jsa, I guess it has all changed... it might be a good idea if you ask your doctor for copies of old medical letters, they will help if we have to go to tribunal. My ESA form has been a nightmare, cannot sleep, stuk on the bit that I have Sneddons secondary APS/HUGHES

Well they need to waste more money dont they

When I had my assessment I had an hour wait then as she picked up my file she said"Oh you have had a stroke, you need to see a Doctor not a nurse practitioner, your file had been put on wrong list. You can wait another hour or re-arrange for another time"

Wewaited 90 minutes before seeing a Doc, he was fair but didn't have enough time so we didn't discuss all the info I had and now I am back in a work group. No point in appealing as my partner has a small pension so I get nothing anyway as its income based.
