Can anyone help with experience of Dental Implants with Hughes or other autoimmune diseases?

and I guess they might give you short course of antibiotics if they think your autoimmune profile needs it as they assess your medical history?

I wanted to have implants when I lost two front teeth, but both my dentist and a surgeon said no because of the Hughes and mild lupus. Very fed up about that but now have a metal plate (already had a lower one) and get on fine with it.

I have an implant now, but don't have the crown on it yet. I did take antibiotics during the process of having the damaged tooth removed and when they installed the implant in my jaw. So far I haven't had any trouble with it.

Thank you for yor answer. Did you mention to the Dentist about your APS, did he comment on it's relevancy? I am just concerned that it could worsen symptoms, so your experience and comments would be helpful.
