Hi all been a while so here’s what’s happened recently (I think over last year but can’t be sure with my memory) .
Anyhow am now under a yearly check up with Guys Haematology as professor Hunt says we can’t make you better and your on all the right meds. She asked if I would be happy to be seen at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery. Got my appointment and been to the first appointment at the dementia clinic and lots more physco testing and they suggested memory was due to stress! Made me very annoyed to say the least. Anyhow going back to see them and got to take my wife as they want to see if I am telling the truth about how bad I am. You would think they could look at my MRI and see all the damage?
Sorry this turned into a rant but just feels like being cast adrift without any regular care .

I’m sorry. I do not understand why medical staff find it acceptable to openly doubt a patient. Who wants to be in a doctor’s office if they are well. I do think a partner or children of someone seeking help with dementia are involved in the assessment and further care of the patient.
I wish you the best with the rest of the assessment. ❤️
Sorry you are getting the " doctor diagnostic run-around." Stay calm but persistent and ask why damage on your MRI should NOT be connected with memory issues?
