Has anyone had a Right Heart Catherization done? If so, how did it go, did it help? My wife is getting one done, she has (C)APS.

I've had a right heart cath. It went well. It's very similar to having a left heart cath which I've had done 3 times. They get access through the jugular or through the femoral area. They numbed the jugular area well but it still hurt some. It was not bad at all. I had it done looking for pulmonary hypertension. While I was there at rest I also then had to pedal on some pedals they put on the table with me to see how my heart and oxygen saturation did with exercise. That part was pretty weird. Just the part where I didn't pedal went very well. If she takes anticoagulants those will be stopped before the procedure and resumed after. Once she is done be sure to keep the access site covered and with pressure on it. For some reason I started bleeding a lot where the gauze was so I had to stop walking and get the bleeding stopped. I was still in the hospital at that time. I hope everything goes well!
