Executive Function

Hi as you that follow me know I have severe memory and cognitive issues. I am seeing a clinical Psychologist to help me with coping strategies etc. She has sent me a list of executive functioning issues and it is me to a T! If it helps I can post the info but has anyone else got executive function issues due to neurological changes?

I noticed a huge improvement after B12 injections and also treating my low Thyroid function, (nothing showed up until I had done very detailed private tests, but we are all different. In case you have not seen this particular paper. pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/185... MaryF

Ok, just a thought, those things and removing gluten did improve me, on NHS standard tests I looked fine for both, but not when I looked further. I hope you get to the bottom of it. MaryF

Would love to see the information they have given you.It has been proven to me that autoimmune inflammatory markers can change the actual reading of ferriten, iron and B12. What ever my readings are they are over inflated. I still have a battle with local doctor's when I need infusions but I get there eventually with help from St Thomas's.

I know you are under Prof Hunt, so this doesn't apply to you, as she would have xhecked all that out first.

Hope you get the help you need.

Holly thanks for your post am now also under National hospital for neurology and neuroscience at Queens Square. So I am hopeful of some help at some point apart from the current medication.

Holly sorry been trying to attach the info via a scan but can’t seem to do that so am trying to find a different way as I don’t have enough time to type it all but I will get it and either post it or send it to you

Oh please don't worry, really don't want you to type or write out.If it won't scan, maybe a picture on your phone?

If not, let's wait and see how you get on with the plans, if anyone deserves to get better it's you x

I don’t know how bad my memory is compared to you. But I can forget anything, it’s so frustrating at times. I hope things improve for you.

Thanks for that I have a 2/3 day memory before everything is gone and random bits disappear at any time of the day! Due to the brain damage I have achieved from multiple minor strokes. Plus the frontal lobe hyperprofusion it sucks!

Oh yes. I have neuro psychologist who gives me all the tests which I fail with flying colors. ( short term memory and spatial relationships are the real problems- and pattern recognition. )
