Hi folks, is it ok to drink coffee with APS? I am talking a blood thinner called Apixiban Eliquis. What your thoughts?

Hiya we are all different, and if it suits you to drink coffee you should have no problem with your current medication, I believe there can be a problem with too much coffee if on Warfarin. Some of us probably are sensitive to caffeine, I know I am these days and I have to limit how much I have. MaryF

Thanks Mary, feels good to be apart of a community going through the hurdles. Not being alone. Have a great day. Rocky

Anything but everything in moderation, I'm a tea drinker...Enjoy your coffee.

Nice to heave you!

The world would be very bleak indeed without caffeine...but it can trigger migraines in some people.

Also... it’s a diuretic so very important to replace with other non caffeinated fluids, per my neurologist. ( she says for every caffeinated beverage, replace with 3 non caffeinated.)

When younger, 25-29, whenever doing night sessions, I would actually consume as many as one cup of coffee per hour! (Is this where my APS originated--joking I think) but now with DVT/APS duo I stick to 2-3 cups per 24 hours. No Dr. so advised the limitation, except other than NEVER one cup per hour, but no problems. As someone said "all things in moderation".
