Well I have had the blood test results back all ok
I am still getting muscle spasms in my lt thigh, with severe pain, I phoned my Gp who I don’t trust, due to previous advise, anyway I am going to have an appointment with the muscular skeletal clinic
Perhaps I might even get a scan on my right knee, which has been really painful for years,
Thanks for everyone’s answers earlier

Sorry for delayed feedback. Sorry if it’s been asked- it’s so basic I’m sure it has- but statin can cause leg cramps. ( usually when initially started I think.)
Levels for toxicity can be checked. I’m sure your doctor thought of this straight away.
Sorry your knee is bothering you. I hope you get to the bottom of it so you can get the correct treatment soon.
Thank you Kelly, I asked my Gp after I had stopped my cholesterol tabs for a few days, that when he told me to continue on them and would give me a blood test to check other thing, with a good result for most things, which I am going to check again later, I have copy of results.
Yesterday am, before your reply I decided to come off my cholesterol tabs, will have to wait for my appointment for clinic to check my muscle etc, can’t put up with the pain
Will only stop for a week or two and then let the Doctor know,
I should be on them I know but as I am not able to walk and with the pain, I figured out that I am more at risk on them, will let you know know thanks
My Doctor is so full of his own importance and has let me down in the past so I don’t trust him, thinking about changing
Hi, totally agree with everything you are saying, being able to walk and pain free is the goal.Really agree time to get a new GP, not helping you?
I take pravastatin and every now and then the docters decide I need to take another type of statin - within weeks I got various symptoms and have to insist going back on the pravastatin.
Stopping for just a week or so may not solve or prove they are related to your symptoms, I don't know how high your cholesterol is, but with APS it is important to keep it low.
How long until you go to clinic? Is it possible to talk to your APS specialist?
Fingers crossed I feel so much better today, didn’t have any spasms or much muscle pain last night and walking a lot better, early days but feeling hopeful, going to look at blood results again tomorrow. I know it’s important to keep
Cholesterol under control, if I don’t have any luck with my so called Gp, I will phone or send email to st Thomas’s were I am under one of the Doctors, due to go in December, but they have always been absolutely brilliant so I know they will help and I trust them
Will keep you informed, thanks for all the replies
