Don’t worry about not responding to every post- it’s meant to be a support- not a job😉
We all know that you read and derive support and energy- we’ve all been there and done that and we need a t- shirt to prove it!
What would your t- shirt say, Judes?
You are such a clever and funny lady with such an amazing spirit... I can only imagine what brilliant ones you’d come up with!
Oh Judes... I fear you are a very bad influence on me... 🤣... you see, once I was admitted to our local small rural hospital with a DVT and an inr of 2.7 - it came up to 3.5 and the rounding doctor tried to lower my INR to 3.0 It was set at 4.5 at the time...
I got a letter by post this morning, thought I’d share it :
“Dear Kelly in Texas and all the lovely ladies on the forum, except the ones that have dogs....we don’t trust those ladies much.
This is Pinky, as Perky doesn’t really like to write.
Please tell j that the marginally acceptable human she’s put in charge of feeding us is getting better at it it finally. We didn’t really like the way they approached the bowl, and they way they bent down to put it down on the floor changed the taste of the food, as anyone with any sense knows it will.
We’ve mastered the art of googling while you’ve been away! We understand your food situation may be sub par now , too. We are wondering if it’s because the human you have is changing your routine also... it really makes a difference we find.
Send your feeding human a strong message! Take a leaf out of our book! Give them a look of of indifference at first and turn away . If you are feeling up to it, put your backside straight up in the air and show it to them- and priss away in defiance, like we do! It should be easy to do- we saw a photo of those hospital gowns they put you in...
If your feeding human doesn’t get the message about the poor quality, off putting food , you may have to resort to stronger tactics. Flatten your ears , stick all your hair on end, and hiss. They will get the message.
If all else fails, we have commandeered a get away car. ( don’t ask.). We will plan a jail break. Just secure the meds you need and be on the look out for a dodgy cat with one eye named “Hawkeye.” He’s from the inside. He can get you whatever you need . Just give him tuna from your lunch tray -The nurses never catch him! He’s dodgy, but well read, like we are. Loves the classics like TS Elliot’s McCavity obviously...
