For the past couple of days I’ve had sleepless nights not that it worries me I’ve been an erratic sleeper for years.
This morning up at 4.30am, no lights on tripped over the ruddy cat, couldn’t see which one but the suspect is Poppy. Radio on,and a cuppa.
6.30 fed cats yes even poppy!
07.00 thought oh don’t feel that well ran into bathroom and without putting too finer point on it the sink was red and I looked like Dracula.
It looked a lot of the red stuff, went to sitting room coughing and bleeding for the next two hours.
Thought um, need to do something about this sort of like now.
Called ambulance, into hospital where I still reside.
I do have an issue with my lungs and thought it was that, which it was, in part, but also an INR of 10.5 which prob didn’t help.
In the 20 years I’ve taken warfarin it’s the first time I’ve had a bleed,I’ve also had higher inrs with no bleeding.
I also have a horrible headache which is driving me nuts and hospital wads don’t help.
As if that wasn’t enough my friend whose on a cruise round the carribean (sp) text me to say her Mom had died suddenly which means Coroner and autopsy.
All I can say is if this is the first week of the new year
what is in store for the rest.
I know that the grim reaper will be appearing soon
but can he please not come til after Easter so I can stuff chocolate eggs!!
Love and hugs to all
J
Ps that feels better nothing like a good rant!😁

I know the hospital is the very last place you want to be, but being the very sensible woman you are- you are where you know you need to be.
Is the bleed isolated to only lungs?
Hopefully so.
Hope they will bridge you and not let you linger too low.
So sorry about your friend.
You are wise. You will find the balance of self care ( I hope you will continue to lean on us for support and help with that) and being there for your friend as she not only grieves her mother’s death, but processes the logistics of it from being away on a cruise.
She will understand you are Very sick. Please keep that balanced as well.
Well you are in the right place to source the bleed (from the fall?) - although having spent many a night in hospital, I know it probably doesnt feel the best place.
Hope you get on top of that headache and get home soon.
Condolences to your friend, hopefully you both can eat some Easter Eggs together early this year. xx
Sending you the most enormous hug. I am very very pleased you are at the hospital. Try not to worry, good friends always understand each other's plights. I hope that Poppy, sends you a get well card! Do keep in touch so that we know you are on the mend. MaryF
Well I think it was poppy, but could have been Pinky, Perky or Dingo, Queenie is far to dignified to get under ones feet.
Poppy is fine at 20 she can still tart with any man who comes in the house.
I haven’t told my friend I’m in hosp she has far too much to deal with, I knew her mum quite well I was more her age than my friends.
Seen Doc and yes it’s a mixture of infection, my lungs basically dying and a high INR. Have to make the best of what we have and am determined to do that.
Thank you so much for all your support it really is appreciated makes me realise there are people who care deeply.
Quote of the day, no offence chaps
Alexa, better than a husband does as she’s told and only occasionally argues.
I'm with you on the choc eggs! We have hot x buns already on sale in the supermarket so I expect the eggs won't be far behind. Hope you escape from hospital soon,
Hang in there. I hope the hospital food is better than the hospital average. Glad you went to the hospital. Sending support your way from West Virginia.
My INR used to shoot up crazily for no reason and prof Hughes talked me into getting my own testing machine and now I keep a good eye on it myself. Something to think about ? Hope you feel better soon. Its rotten being in the hospital but the best place to be.
