Parathyroid question

Hi everyone. I'm not very good at internet. I'm under care of a listed APS specialist. North East UK. Didn't see her last week but a registrar who didn't have any answers to my questions. Got blood tests done and received letter saying my PTH is mildly raised 7.4. But normal calcium level so no further investigations needed. Under a rheumatologist at a different hospital where previously I've had raised calcium. Should I be concerned do you think. I've lost faith. So many things have been missed over the years. Hope everyone is as well as they can be.

Hi Cinn,

Hope you now have a good APS-Specialist who knows you well. Has he or she done several missis?

Earlier you had very different therapeutic range for your INR 2,0 - 3.0 and 3.0 - 4.5.

What is the actual number? Hope you do not have to guess your INR anymore. Perhaps you can selftest.

I am operated for Hyperparathyroidosis in 2006.

I guess the number of the Calcium can go up and down but you should absolutely take the bloodtests again some other time. I only know APS even if I am operated for Hyperpara.

Thankyou for your kind reply. I have a listed APS specialist from apsuk site. I didn't get to see her this time is was a senior registrar? I hope you are well after your ok? My INR needs to be 3 to 4. I tried self test. It wasn't suitable for me unfortunately. I do my own dosing and vein test every 10 days or less for the last 5 years. If pth is slightly raised and calcium fine am i fine and its just a blip?
