Low mood, Eye problems and pain in arm

Just feel the need to let off steam really. After having been diagnosed with Fuchs dystrophy a year ago I now find I have constant red eyes they are watery and look awful, I am also getting sharp shooting pains through them. It is just ongoing they clear up then I wake up and they are red. Doctor says this is normal.

Then for over a year I have had a pain in shoulder which I sorted, or so I thought but now it is in the whole of my arm and in my elbow in particular. It is constant. Having blood tests on Friday and then seeing my own doctor next week. The doctor I saw actually recommended I see a Rheumatologist which is the first time this has ever been mentioned in all the years I have had APS!

I just feel like I am falling apart. Am normally so upbeat. I work as an administrator and so cannot afford to lose the use of my arm but it really is getting that bad!

Sorry to go on.

I am pleased you are on track to see a Rheumatologist, does your GP have access to our list of recommended specialists? These are listed over on the right hand side of the forum, under 'pinned posts', It really is important that you are referred to one that fully understands this disease. I hope they get to the bottom of the problem with your arm. Make sure sure your GP or new doctor checks your vitamin D, B12, Folate, Ferritin and Thyroid alongside anything else. I hope you feel better soon. MaryF

Let off steam here, we can emphasize with you, as Mary has said, get your bloods checked and ask to see a rheumatologist that specialises in Hughes/APS.

I really hope things improve xx

Please let off steam whenever you need to! I’ve done that here as well. It’s good to voice your concerns, frustrations and maybe sadness to people who totally get it.

I’m sorry you have to go through this.
