Can People feel blood clots?

Hi Guys,

Long story short, I have had two separate incidents. (3 days apart?).

Where I have had a fire like, burning feeling in my veins, only to see a very blue sudden bruise developing with extreme heat. First Bruise was on my left Shin, ( it turned into a hard lump under my skin, then dissipated after about 40 mins of ice and lying down.

Second incident was on my left middle finger. It burned like fire then the vein became very blue and it bruised. I swear it moved through my hand veins then dissipated.

Both times I did not hot or injury my body.

Is it a coincidence and just random and just over reacting?

Or is it to be seen as a warning sign?

Help Please?

Hi this forum is for those with Hughes Syndrome/APS, do you have a diagnosis? In the meantime I would go and see your GP. Please do answer us regarding our question. MaryF

I have had the same thing many times. Though I have only had this happen to my fingers and toes. It happens very fast, a painful stinging burning sensation. Then I can see a small vessel or vein go blue and over a period of hours it dissipates... much faster than a normal bruise. I do have a diagnosis of APS. Not sure if there is any connection.

The big thing is to get a Specialist of autoimmun illnesses that understands what you talk of and who can give you the proper bloodtests etc but if i were you i would tell my GP about my symptoms and he could perhaps do the bloodtests we need for a diagnose. Otherwise ask for a referral. It must not be APS as it could also be other things but that you have now to find out with the help of your GP. Read about APS and educate yourself!
