Getting lots of head pain just behind my right ear thought in the past it was ear ache but been to my gp many times says there’s nothing wrong with ear 👂
Pain getting worse lately and it was on my right side when I had my stroke 2011

Eyes, ears and balance-issues disappeared when I started warfarin. I have seen a "balance-Professor" in Stockholm (the best one we have actually) some years ago and he said that the symptoms was from APS and microemboli.
So I wonder if your anticoagulation is steady and doing its job for you?
Ischemic stroke (and I would guess micro-clots too, as similar but smaller) is usually painless, at least in the head - post stroke can result in pain or phantom-pain elsewhere in the body due to the damage in the brain. Brain bleeds, one the other hand, do cause pain and sites of previous strokes are actually a major risk for bleeding.
When I got chronic headaches after I started warfarin I went back to the rheumys who manage my APS and I was rescanned. They were looking for bleeding as much as they were looking for more clots, thankfully found neither in my case, but worth doing to be sure.
Hey Tim, I was diagnosed with APS after a extensive DVT three years ago, and been on Xarelto ever since. About two months ago I developed a headache behind my right ear that was almost neck pain, almost headache. I couldn't really tell exactly where it was coming from, but it was constant for weeks. My family doctor said it was nerve pain, and my hematologist said it wasn't related to blood flow. Around a month ago a ultrasound showed a blockage around my spine where the illiac vein was being pinched. I was sent a week later for stents, and two stents were placed in the femoral vein, and illiac vein. After the surgery, I noticed the pain was gone, and it has not returned. Upon follow up with the vascular surgeon, I told him about how the headache had stopped the minute flow had been restored. He said he couldn't take credit for it, and it was likely a coincidence.
A long shot but have a word with your dentist as ear pain can be related to your jaw - My dentist sent me to a consultant a few years ago as I was having horrendous ear facial head and neck pain which pain killers wouldn't touch. I was given a mouthguard to wear at night to stop me clenching and grinding my teeth and it made a great difference as do massage and heat packs. I go through one a year as my bite is so strong (worse if I am stressed ) andI know now if I get these symptoms it is often because I have been chewing or biting on hard foods so stick to soft for a few days till it goes. Have a look at the TMD NHS website that is very helpful.
